Prof. Samuel Y. Ganyaglo is an expert in Nuclear Earth Science with over 20 years of experience. He specialises in isotope hydrology, groundwater-surface interactions, contaminant source apportionment, and geophysical characterisation of aquifers. Prof. Ganyaglo has authored over 40 publications, participated in IAEA Coordinated Research Projects, and hosted fellows from across Africa. He is a researcher, consultant, and lecturer at the School of Nuclear and Allied Sciences, University of Ghana, where he supervises graduate students and contributes to capacity-building in nuclear and water resources applications nationally and internationally.

Prof. Dennis Kpakpo Adotey is a Radioanalytical Chemist, Research Scientist, Lecturer, and Consultant with expertise in quality management systems, analytical methodology development, blue economy and carbon sequestration, trace metal speciation, and laboratory accreditation. He has authored over 45 peer-reviewed publications and serves as Deputy Director of the National Nuclear Research Institute (NNRI), GAEC. He has previously led NACRC, headed NNRI’s Radiochemistry Laboratory, and served as Head of International Programmes at SNAS. Prof. Adotey has contributed to national standards development, served on key academic and technical committees, and undertaken scientific visits to leading institutions across Africa, Europe, and the Americas.

Dr. Juliet Attah is a Senior Research Scientist with a special interest in the development of locally sourced materials for water purification and environmental remediation. She holds a BSc in Chemistry and an MPhil in Environmental Science from the University of Ghana, and a PhD in Materials Engineering from KNUST. Her interdisciplinary research integrates chemistry, environmental science, nuclear science, and materials engineering to address critical environmental challenges. She has published in reputable peer-reviewed journals and is actively engaged in mentorship and technical service.

Dr. Emmanuel K.Boafo holds a PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Ontario Institute of Technology, Canada, and an MPhil in Nuclear Engineering from the University of Ghana. He leads three IAEA Coordinated Research Projects and lectures at the School of Nuclear and Allied Sciences. His research focuses on probabilistic safety assessment, uncertainty and sensitivity analysis, severe reactor accident modelling, and coupled neutronic–thermal-hydraulic simulations. He has extensive experience with advanced computational tools, including MCNP, SCALE, CATHENA, MELCOR, CAFTA, and AIMS-PSA, and applies computational and machine learning methods to enhance nuclear safety and decommissioning practices.

Dr. Crentsil Kofi Bempah is a distinguished environmental scientist and academic with extensive experience in research on human impacts on ecosystems in Ghana. He has contributed to research initiatives at institutions including CSIR, the United States Environmental Protection Agency, NORAD, the UNEP Basel, Rotterdam and Stockholm Conventions Secretariat, and the Ghana Atomic Energy Commission. His research spans climate change, carbon removal and financing, persistent organic pollutants, groundwater quality, illegal artisanal mining, and pesticide-related health risks. Dr. Bempah has published widely in reputable journals, engaged with leading international universities, and continues to influence environmental policy and public health practice locally and globally.

Dr. Cynthia Laar is a Senior Research Scientist at the Water Resources Research Centre (WRRC), leading interdisciplinary research and capacity-building initiatives in sustainable water resources management. She holds a PhD in Environmental and Water Science from the University of the Western Cape, South Africa, and has expertise in isotope hydrology, water quality assessment, and wetland ecohydrology. Her work applies nuclear and geospatial techniques to address groundwater sustainability, nitrogen pollution, and the impacts of climate change on freshwater systems. Dr. Laar has contributed to several national and international projects, engages in policy dialogue, and is committed to mentoring young scientists and advancing gender inclusion in science and innovation.

Dr. Frank Koblah Quashie is an environmental scientist and nuclear applications specialist with over 15 years of research and professional experience. He holds a PhD in Environmental Science and Engineering from Harbin Institute of Technology (China), an MPhil in Applied Nuclear Physics, and a BSc in Applied Physics with Environmental Science from the University of Ghana. Dr. Quashie is a Lecturer at the Graduate School of Nuclear and Allied Sciences. He has authored 17 peer-reviewed publications and specialises in environmental assessments, wastewater treatment, air quality and radon monitoring, and project management.

Dr. Owiredu Gyampo is a Principal Research Scientist at the Nuclear Application Centre at the National Nuclear Research Institute of the Ghana Atomic Energy Commission (GAEC), and a Lecturer at the Graduate School of Nuclear and Allied Sciences, University of Ghana. He holds BSc, MPhil, and PhD degrees in Physics and Applied Nuclear Physics from KNUST and the University of Ghana. With over 16 years’ experience, his expertise covers X-ray spectrometry (XRF), air quality and pollution studies, dispersion modelling, environmental noise monitoring, and quality management. He is a Regular Associate of ICTP, Italy, and a member of leading scientific bodies, with a strong passion for mentorship and knowledge sharing.

Dr. Emmanuel Teye Mensah is a Research Scientist at the National Data Centre with over 25 years of experience spanning industry and research. He holds a BSc in Geological Engineering and a PhD in Geophysics from KNUST, an MPhil in Geology from the University of Ghana, and an MBA in Project Management from GIMPA. His expertise includes geophysical applications for groundwater exploration, geotechnical investigations, mineral exploration, and site selection for major engineering projects, including Ghana’s Nuclear Power Plant. His research interests also cover radionuclide, seismic, hydroacoustic, and infrasound technologies for nuclear test verification and isotope source tracing.
